First ever Toastmasters’ Bak Maha Ulela was held at the Botanical Gardens – Gampaha on Sunday 3rd of April 2011 with the participants from all Toastmaster Clubs in Sri Lanka. The event was organized by Siyane Toastmasters Club.
There were about 100 families covering all areas of Toastmaster clubs. It was inaugurated with the lighting of traditional oil lamp, National Anthem followed by a food table with Kiribath, Kevum, Kokis etc.
All traditional games had been organized and everybody from 3 year kid to 60+ young ones took part in every possible event. Eyeing the elephant, Kotta Pora, Tug of War, Musical Chairs, balloon dance, passing eggs were among the event which took attraction.
Participants also got the opportunity to enjoy the best of nature . The event which was a wonderful occasion for all toastmasters and families to move away from their busy schedules and enjoy themselves will probably come in toastmaster calendar.
